The no-stain high-carbon stainless steel blade is structurally strong with a sharp, smooth cutting edge. It displays some typical light surface scratches from regular honing, along with minor, tiny carbon spotting/speckling near the bolster area . The tip of the blade shows very slight rounding from normal historical sharpening. The dark infused wood handle is tight, solid, and securely held together by three silver-tone rivets.
